Figure skating pageant honours former North Korean leader

International skaters take part in an ice skating pageant in North Korea in honour of the country’s late former leader Kim Jong Il. The Paektusan Prize event was part of the annual festivities held in the run-up to the so-called Day of the Shining Star, which commemorates Kim Jong Il’s birth on 16th February.
