Assistant Chief Mary Roberts of the Phoenix Police Department is the coach of the Special Olympics Arizona Adult Unified Basketball Team. The team has been selected to compete in the 2019 Special Olympics World Games in Abu Dhabi, March 14-21, 2019! Unified teams consist of members both with and without disabilities, promoting inclusion. Team Arizona has been selected as the only unified basketball team to represent the USA in the Unified Division of the Special Olympics World Games 2019 and are now proud members of Team USA.
