David Hogg Urges Michelle Obama To Run For President In 2020 And 'End This Madness'

David Hogg has called for Michelle Obama to run for president in 2020.

Activist and Parkland school shooting survivor David Hogg is urging former first lady Michelle Obama to run for president in 2020 and "end this madness," notes The Hill.
"I wish @MichelleObama would run for president and end this madness already," Hogg said in a Wednesday tweet. Many share his hope, but Michelle Obama is not among them.  At an April speaking engagement in Boston, she explained why she would not be running for president in 2020. "You have to want the job…I've never had the passion for politics. I just happened to be married to somebody who has the passion for politics," Michelle Obama said. Notably, the man she married has also stressed that she won't be seeking the office.  Former President Barack Obama was asked in 2016 during an event at a Baton Rouge high school if he could convince his wife to run.  He replied, in part: "Let me tell you, there are three things that are certain in life: death, taxes and Michelle is not running for president. That, I can tell you."
