Lonely Lunar New Year for Chinese rail workers

While most people across China celebrated the Spring Festival with family and friends, railway officers Fu Zemin and Sun Xiaojun were diligently at work minding a remote station in the northern Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
Since 2009, Fu and Sun have worked at the small Juyanhai Station, doing round-the-clock, 15-day shifts to receive passing trains.
As in many previous years, the recent Lunar New Year holiday coincided with one of those stints for Fu and Sun.
With limited sources of food and water near the station, the pair even had to bring their own provisions for the more than two-week period.
