Let's go over to local politics.
South Korea's main opposition Liberty Korea Party... will hold its national convention on February 27th as initially scheduled.
The conservative party had been reviewing the possibility of changing the date... as it overlaps with the upcoming Pyeongyang-Washington summit.
There were concerns that the event... where the party will pick its new leader,... would be overshadowed by the summit,... especially at a time when the party is enjoying an uptick in its approval rating.
The party said they can't change the schedule based on external events,... adding that they will do their best under the given circumstances.
Challenges could be in store... as a number of key candidates in the running for party leadership... had warned of a boycott if the date wasn't changed.
