Karan Johar Admitted To Supporting Nepotism Before Kangana Ranaut Accused Him Of It!

After Kangana Ranaut accused Karan Johar of supporting nepotism on his own show Koffee With Karan, the filmmaker was furious at the allegations. Karan Johar lashed out at her saying that he has given chances to many newcomers and it is wrong to label him with nepotism. But a few days back, an old interview of Karan Johar from 2014 became viral where he is seen talking about this topic to Anupama Chopra. Karan Johar blatantly says that nepotism very much exists in Bollywood and he might even favour it sometimes. Karan Johar gave the example of Student Of The Year and said that the fact that Alia Bhatt was the daughter of Mahesh Bhatt excited him and maybe that was why he cast her. Karan Johar added that it was the same with Varun Dhawan too because he had the opportunity to be there as his father is a filmmaker. Karan Joharthen talked about himself and said that the only reason he became a director so early was because his dad had a production house to back him up. Karan Johar concluded by saying that there are too many factors that determine movie stardom in this country and true talent is the least of it.
