America To Aminjikarai revolves around Anushka Shetty who is married, ill-tempered businesswoman living in the United States, trying to care for her mother and young nephew and manage her bills. Jagapati Babu helps her find a new perspective on her life. Anushka falls in love with Jagapati Babu but when she declares her feelings for him learns that he already has a wife, Bhumika Chawla. What happens next forms the rest of the story.
