Since then, Shreya Ghoshal has recorded many songs in Tamil with AR Rahman, Harris Jayaraj, Yuvan Shankar Raja, Vidyasagar, Karthik Raja, GV Prakash Kumar and Bharathwaj among others.
Shreya Ghoshal got her breakthrough in Tamil with her songs in Virumaandi under Ilaiyaraaja. Since then Shreya Ghoshal has won many awards for her songs in Sillunu Oru Kadhal, Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya and Angaadi Theru. Shreya Ghoshal is the only singer to win the Filmfare Awards for Best Female Playback singer in all 4 south indian languages. She has won the award twice each in Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam and once in Telugu.
