Google Maps Tests
Waze-Like Features Waze allows users to upload road
conditions in real time,
including speed traps
and speed limits. The app can then suggest
better, alternative routes
to help users get to where
they need to go. Google acquired
the directions app
several years ago. In limited U.S. locations,
Google Maps is now
following the
Waze path. The app is
providing
speed limit
information. It's also alerting users
to speed traps using
a speed camera icon
and an audio notification. Google has not announced
when or if the new features
will be released for everyone.
