$21 Million for Tax Fraud Ronaldo's court date on Tuesday only lasted about
45 minutes. The soccer superstar
will avoid serving a
23-month prison sentence. The Juventus forward settled
his case by paying a fine of
roughly $21.4 million First-time offenders in Spain can have their sentences suspended for two years or less. Ronaldo played for Real Madrid from 2009 to 2018 and was accused of using shell companies outside Spain to hide income.
