Amid political slugfest over the London EVM Hackathon, sensational developments taking place in the matter. The election commission of India has filed a complaint against us-based cyber hacker Syed Shuja with the Delhi police. The ECI had earlier said the machines were foolproof and the commission was currently analysing what legal action could be taken regarding the press conference organised by Indian journalists' association (Europe). The electronic corporation of India ltd has meanwhile in a confidential letter to the ECI said that Syed Shuja never worked in the company assigned with the task of manufacturing the EVMs. Syed Shuja had claimed that he was a part of the team at ECIL, which designed and developed the EVMs. He alleged that the 2014 general elections in India were rigged and that senior BJP leader Gopinath Munde was murdered because he knew about the tampering.
