Organizers Looking to Get Companies To Ban Forced Arbitration

Last year workers at Google walked out during work to protest the company’s handling of sexual misconduct cases. Now the same organizers are starting a new effort called “End Forced Arbitration.” Forced arbitration is when employers require workers to resolve disputes privately, outside of court. After the walkout, tech companies made forced arbitration optional in cases of sexual assault. According to Business Insider, organizers are calling for companies to ban the practice entirely.
