Jeff Bridges to
Receive ASC Award The 69-year-old actor has been
selected by the American Society
of Cinematographers (ASC). The honor is bestowed
on those whose work
has made "significant and
indelible contributions" to movies. It recognizes filmmakers
who have championed directors
of photography and the visual art form. This year, the award recognizes
Bridges' long and prodigious
career and his "passion for
creating artful imagery." Kees van Oostrum, ASC President Kees van Oostrum, ASC President Bridges will pick up the prize
at the annual ceremony on February 9.
