U.S. lawmakers have proposed a bill that would ban the sale of American chips and other components to Chinese tech firms deemed to have violated U.S. sanctions.
Federal prosecutors are reportedly investigating companies Huawei on suspicion of stealing trade secrets from T-Mobile.
Huawei said in a statement that it had settled the dispute the telecoms giant two years ago.
The introduction of the bills is likely to escalate already tense trade tensions between Washington and Beijing.
