Take Over Players' Accounts Fortnite says that it
immediately informed
its developer, Epic Games. Epic Games says it
fixed the security
holes earlier this month. Hackers were able to
make game purchases using
hacked players' credit cards. They were also able to
pose as players in chats
that are part of the game. The did so by
exploiting flaws in
Epic's web infrastructure. Hackers were able
to intercept authentic
login "tokens" of users. Epics says they encourage players to
"protect their accounts by not re-using
passwords and using strong passwords." They also encourage
players not to share
"account information with others."
