U.S. President Donald Trump has canceled a planned visit to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, later this month. Reuters reports the move signals that the president is prepared for the partial government shutdown to continue into late January. The global economic meeting is scheduled for Jan. 22 to 25. Trump wrote on Twitter, “Because of the Democrats intransigence on Border Security and the great importance of Safety for our Nation, I am respectfully cancelling my very important trip to Davos, Switzerland for the World Economic Forum."
