by a Winter Storm The state is expecting
several feet of snow,
flooding rain and mudslides. Areas that were devastated
by last years fires are
particularly susceptible
to mudslides. Evacuations have already
been ordered in Los Angeles,
Riverside and Santa Barbara counties. Riverside Official News Release, via 'USA Today' Heavy snow caused
closures on I-5, the state's main
highway running north and south. As much as 7 feet of snow
is possible in the mountains
of central and southern Sierra. The intense wet
weather does have
a silver lining, as California
remains in a drought.
