Spielberg's 'West Side Story' Remake Casts 17 Year-Old High School Student As Maria

CNN reports that Steven Speilberg has finally found his Maria. The planned remake of West Side Story will feature high school student Rachel Zegler in the starring role of the classic Broadway musical. Spielberg's new adaptation of the hit musical is a modern-day Romeo and Juliet love story between Tony, a former member of the Jets gang, and Maria, the younger sister of the leader of its rival gang, the Sharks.
