Trump: 'Losers' Comey, McCabe, Others Tried To 'Do A Number On Your President'

President Trump in a tweet took another aim at James Comey on Saturday.
President Trump has gone on the attack against former members of the FBI including ex-director James Comey and ex-deputy director Andrew McCabe, calling them "some of the losers that tried to do a number on your President."
"Lyin' James Comey, Andrew McCabe, Peter S and his lover, agent Lisa Page, & more, all disgraced and/or fired and caught in the act. These are just some of the losers that tried to do a number on your President. Part of the Witch Hunt. Remember the 'insurance policy?' This is it!" Trump tweeted Saturday.
The tweet comes a day after the New York Times reported that the FBI began investigating Trump's potential alignment with Russia after Comey's controversial firing.
"In the days after President Trump fired James B. Comey as F.B.I. director, law enforcement officials became so concerned by the president's behavior that they began investigating whether he had been working on behalf of Russia against American interests, according to former law enforcement officials and others familiar with the investigation," the Times noted.
The probe is said to have eventually been transferred to special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Russia's election meddling though the current status is unknown.
