Trump Knocks Past Presidents For The Way They Signed Bills And Executive Orders

President Trump jabbed past US presidents on signature styles.

President Trump on Wednesday knocked past presidents for the way they signed bills and executive orders. After putting his signature on a piece of anti-human trafficking legislation, he commented: "My whole life I've watched Presidents, they'd sign one letter at a time. One letter. Did you ever look at these signatures? They're a disaster. So I sign it with one pen and then I hand out pens. It works out much better. It's also a lot faster."  Trump has been at odds with a number of the nation's previous leaders, but he did recently allege that they agree with him about the need for a wall along the US-Mexico border. Trump said that building a wall "should have been done by all of the Presidents that preceded me. And they all know it. Some of them have told me that we should have done it."
Soon after, former President Jimmy Carter said in a tweet shared by the Carter Center, "I have not discussed the border wall with President Trump, and do not support him on the issue." Carter wasn't alone in setting the statement straight.  Spokespeople for both former Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush told Politico that no such discussions had taken place.
