ASU Preparatory Academy's Aracelli Olivia is a world traveler, brown belt in Capoiera, and loves to make people smile. That's why she's January's Golden Rule Student Of The Month!

Aracelli Bio
Aracelli Olivia was born at home on Dec 15 2007 without a midwife present; and was 9lbs 4 oz. She is in 5th grade at ASU Preparatory Academy, along with her older sister Almira, in 9th grade, and her older brother Ali, in 10th grade. Aracelli’s mom is a grassroots community organizer so she has attended community events since she was a baby; and now helps to facilitate small group conversations at community gatherings. She has practiced Capoiera for 8 years, with her siblings and friends, and has a brown belt. Capoiera is a Brazillian martial arts which focuses on eye contact, is a bridge between dance & acrobatics, and includes practicing Brazillian instruments and singing songs in Portugese) Aracelli recently traveled to Gambia in West Africa; visited Kunta Kinte Island, engaged with the local culture and animals, and swam in the Atlantic Ocean. Aracelli enjoys playing outside with her neighbors, playing soccer, playing the trumpet and reading books. Aracelli is an American Muslim and loves making bean pies; a historic Nation of Islam recipe.
