Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said the government needs to get its hands on documents cited by the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) in its claims that deals with China were used to bail out the troubled 1MDB investment fund.
Dr Mahathir said that on Thursday when asked about the WSJ report, adding that until then, no action could be taken.
