Retired General Twice Turned Down Trump's Offer For Defense Secretary Post

The Trump administration is looking for a replacement for Defense Secretary Jim Mattis who resigned before the new year. Business Insider reports at least two candidates have turned down the job. In the meantime, President Donald Trump has said he is pleased with the job of acting Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan. According to a Politico report, retired Army Gen. Jack Keane turned down an offer from Trump for the second time, not long after Mattis' resignation.
