“Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge” Is Making Disneyland Tickets Cost More Than $100

There are a few reasons to get excited about Disneyland's new Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge theme park, which opens this summer in California. It will have a cantina where you can argue with intergalactic smugglers and guzzle alcoholic beverages (or blue milk). The Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run ride looks to be a great way to channel Han Solo while arguing with your family over who gets what controls. The likelihood of you running into a fellow nerd eager to nitpick over Star Wars: Episode IX fan theories is high.
But all good things come with a price. In the case of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, that's an increase in the ticket cost to get into the entire Disneyland resort, the LA Times reports. At the start of 2019, ticket prices for different packages increased by as much as 25 percent, with even the cheapest tickets breaking the $100 mark. The cheapest daily ticket, available on low-demand days, rose from $97 to $104. Ticket prices on regular-demand days jumped from $117 to $129, and from $135 to $149 on peak-demand days. Ticket pass prices increases as much as 23 percent, and parking went up by 25 percent to $25 per day.
