What is serendipity?

Generally speaking, serendipity means "fortunate happenstance" or ''pleasant surprise'', it is the act of finding something valuable when you are not looking for it. The term was first coined by English writer Horace Walpole on January 28, 1754, in a letter to his cousin Mann, describing his ability to find things unexpectedly. There are many examples in the history where serendipity played a big role in changing the course of our planet... All these things were discovered seemingly by chance encounter after working for years on a problem.
For example, Isaac Newton's accidental discovery of laws of universal gravitation. And the invention of the microwave oven by Percy Spencer in 1945 during World War II. In all the cases, discoverers had to be open to new possibilities coming at them in unexpected ways. Just like luck, serendipity requires perseverance, patience, preparation and possibility. Serendipity has also been related to "Law of Attraction" a belief which goes by "like attracts like". That is your positive or negative thoughts define your experience of life, so be positive and let the flow of serendipity be your guide.
