CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA — A man tried to kidnap a woman by forcing her into his car, but then she broke free and ran into a karate studio looking for help—it's safe to say she found some.
According to WSOC-TV, police say 46-year-old August Williams tried to get the woman into his car around 9 p.m., last Thursday night.
The woman was able to fight Williams off and make it into the Bushiken Karate Charlotte Dojo.

That's where head instructor Randall Ephraim was cleaning with a few kids and some adult students.

She told Ephraim that someone was trying to harm her. Shortly after, Williams walked in looking for the woman.
Ephraim asked Williams to leave, but Williams wasn't having it, so Ephraim had to convince him a little bit.
According to Ephraim talking to WSOC, "I then went into action defending myself and got him out of the dojo. Once outside he attempted to attack again and was dealt with accordingly."
After getting waxed on waxed off, Williams had to be taken to the hospital before being tossed into jail.
