Year of the Pig stamps

China has issued a new set of zodiac stamps for the Year of the Pig, one month ahead of the start of the Lunar New Year. The stamps, created by the 82-year-old 2008 Beijing Olympics mascot designer Han Meilin, attracted long queues of collectors at China Post offices when sales began January 5.
The number of animals depicted on the new stamps has raised questions about whether an additional change is coming for China’s family-planning rules.
