Meghalaya Mines: Rescue ops become difficult, SC expresses dissatisfaction
  • 5 years ago
Rescue operations in Meghalaya have become difficult as the blueprint of the 255-ft well has been absent. Addinf to it, seepage of water into the mine is also hindering the rescue operations where 15 miners have been trapped in an illegal mine. The miners are trapped since 23 days now and the rescue operations, done by NDRF, firefighters and Navy divers have not been fruitful. The Supreme Court has expressed its dissatisfaction with the work done by state government.
