NASA Has Historic Flyby Of Ultima Thule, An Object From Our Solar System's Earliest Days

According to a report by Mother Nature Network, on New Years Day, NASA's New Horizons made a historic flyby of an object that dates back to the earliest days of our solar system. Officially named 2014 MU69, but nicknamed 'Ultima Thule' by NASA, this tiny planet measures just 19 miles in diameter. When New Horizons made its rendezvous with Ultima Thule, it was more than 4.1 billion miles from Earth and traveling at over 32,000 miles per hour. New Horizons intercepted Ultima Thule on Jan.
