$425 Mega Millions Lottery Ticket Sold in New York It's only the second time someone has claimed a Mega Millions jackpot on New Years Day. The ticket was reportedly sold in the town of Oyster Bay at an auto service shop. The $425 million is the eighth largest in Mega Millions history. The Mega Millions jackpot had not been won since October 23 when a single ticket sold in South Carolina matched the record-breaking $1.537 billion prize. So far, no one has stepped forward to claim it.
