Trump Responds To Mitt Romney's Scathing Op-Ed: 'I Won Big, And He Didn't'

President Trump on Wednesday responded to Mitt Romney's scathing op-ed.

President Trump took to Twitter on Wednesday after Mitt Romney, the incoming senator from Utah and former Republican presidential nominee, penned a scathing Washington Post op-ed questioning Trump's character.
"Here we go with Mitt Romney, but so fast! Question will be, is he a Flake?  I hope not. Would much prefer that Mitt focus on Border Security and so many other things where he can be helpful. I won big, and he didn't. He should be happy for all Republicans. Be a TEAM player & WIN!" Trump tweeted.
CNN notes: "Romney has been a vocal critic of the President during Trump's campaign and first two years in office, although the two had appeared to mend fences after Trump was elected."
In the Tuesday op-ed, while Romney praised some of Trump's actions like lowering corporate taxes, deregulation, and taking a stronger stance against China's trade practices, much of the editorial criticized the president.
Here are some highlights from Romney's op-ed:
"After he became the nominee, I hoped his campaign would refrain from resentment and name-calling. It did not."
"On balance, his conduct over the past two years, particularly his actions this month, is evidence that the president has not risen to the mantle of the office."
"With the nation so divided, resentful and angry, presidential leadership in qualities of character is indispensable. And it is in this province where the incumbent's shortfall has been most glaring."
"A world led by authoritarian regimes is a world — and an America — with less prosperity, less freedom, less peace."
Trump's 2020 campaign manager also reacted to Romney's editorial.
"The truth is @MittRomney lacked the ability to save this nation. @realDonaldTrump has saved it," Brad Parscale tweeted. "Jealously is a drink best served warm and Romney just proved it."
