Wife of Chinese rights lawyer blocked from submitting a petition

The wife of detained human rights lawyer Wang Quanzhang has been blocked from submitting a petition to protest the treatment of her husband by the Chinese court handling his trial.
Li Wenzu was surrounded by dozens of police officers who stopped her from entering the the supreme court petition office in Beijing on December 28, 2018, two days after Wang’s hearings began in Tianjin.
Her petition accuses the court of violating judicial regulations in the handling of Wang’s case.
