President Trump on Tuesday mocked Democrats' plan to end the government shutdown.  "The Democrats, much as I suspected, have allocated no money for a new Wall," Trump said in a tweet. "So imaginative! The problem is, without a Wall there can be no real Border Security - and our Country must finally have a Strong and Secure Southern Border!"  According to the New York Times, House Democrats intend to present two bills.  One includes bipartisan measures that fund a number of departments and agencies until September. The other provides funding for the Department of Homeland Security but includes no money for Trump's wall. As such, it will likely not pass through the Senate, which is controlled by Republicans.  The Times notes: "By splitting off the homeland security bill, Democrats are…essentially daring Mr. Trump and Senator Mitch McConnell, Republican of Kentucky and the majority leader, to keep a big chunk of the government shuttered over the president's demand for the wall."
