Manchester stabbing being treated as terrorist investigation

Greater Manchester Police are treating an attack on a couple and a police officer on New Year's Eve as a terrorist investigation. A knifeman stabbed three people at Victoria Station at around 9pm on Monday evening. Two commuters – a man and woman in their 50s – were taken to hospital with knife injuries and a British Transport Police (BTP) officer was stabbed in the shoulder. Chief Constable Ian Hopkins praised the "incredible bravery" of the officers who detained the suspect. Report by Jonesia.
