Trump: I'm The Only Person In America Who'd Get 'Bad Press' For Bringing Troops Home

President Trump on Monday posted another tweet on his decision to withdraw troops from Syria.

President Trump on Monday bemoaned the public feedback he's been getting over his decision to withdraw US troops from Syria.  "I am the only person in America who could say that, 'I'm bringing our great troops back home, with victory,' and get BAD press," Trump tweeted. "It is Fake News and Pundits who have FAILED for years that are doing the complaining. If I stayed in Endless Wars forever, they would still be unhappy!"  Hours prior, he said via Twitter: "I campaigned on getting out of Syria and other places. Now when I start getting out the Fake News Media, or some failed Generals who were unable to do the job before I arrived, like to complain about me & my tactics, which are working. Just doing what I said I was going to do!" Trump had initially announced a swift withdrawal from the country, which brought criticism from Senator Lindsey Graham and many others.  On Sunday, Graham seemed more at ease with how Trump will handle the exit. CNBC reports that, after a meeting with the president, Graham told the press, "We still have some differences but I will tell you that the president is thinking long and hard about Syria - how to withdraw our forces but at the same time achieve our national security interests."
"I think the president's very committed to making sure that when we leave Syria, that ISIS is completely defeated," Graham also commented.
