1984 Anti sikh riots case: Sajjan Kumar surrenders; SC likely to decide on Sajjan's plea in January

Former Congress Leader Sajjan Kumar has surrendered before a court in Delhi today to serve the life imprisonment given to him by the Delhi High Court in a 1984 Sikh riots case. Time given by the court for Sajjan to surrender ended today. This after a Delhi Court rejected Sajjan Kumar's plea seeking time till January 30 to surrender. The 73-year-old former congress leader was sentenced to life by Delhi High Court on December 17th.
