Chris Brown Faces Misdemeanor Charges Over Pet Monkey

The Los Angeles city attorney’s office confirmed that Chris Brown
was charged with two counts stemming from possession of a capuchin monkey without a permit. Brown posted a video on Instagram last January of his daughter holding the monkey. The California Department of Fish and Wildlife launched an investigation, and agents took away the monkey soon after the incident. The monkey allegedly lived in Brown's home between Oct. 2017 and Jan. 2018. Brown could be facing a maximum sentence of six months in jail. His court date is set for Feb. 6, 2019.
