Protests Erupt In Congo Over Presidential Election Delays

According to CNN, Protests erupted on Thursday in the eastern region of the Democratic Republic of Congo, where presidential elections have been postponed. Police fired tear gas to disperse dozens of protesters who blocked roads and burned tires in Beni, one of three cities where elections have been delayed due to terrorism and an ongoing Ebola outbreak.The election board said that voters in the cities will not be able to cast their ballots until March.
