President Donald Trump signed an executive order to boost logging and forest thinning on more than 4 million acres of federal lands to fight against wildfires. This order comes after a deadly wildfire season in California. According to the Huffington Post, Trump does not blame climate change for the wildfires but instead mentions dense trees and undergrowth as the cause. Beside logging and forest thinning, the order also wants invasives species and flooding and erosion to be addressed.
