The Netherlands' Mission To Turn Into A Cycling Country

The Netherlands has more bicycles than it has people with 17 million residents and 23 million bikes. According to CNN, the country wants more cyclists on the road and is willing to pay people to cycle. The Dutch government announced it will invest $390 million in cycling infrastructure. It wants to get 200,000 more people commuting by bike in the span of three years. The Netherlands Institute for Transport Policy Analysis reports that over a quarter of all trips are already made by bike.
