13 Miners Dead In Czech Coal Mine Explosion

CNN reports that a methane gas explosion in a coal mine in the northeast of the Czech Republic has killed 13 miners. OKD, the company that operates the mine near the city of Karvina, said 11 of the miners whose lives were lost were Polish miners working in the mine through an agency and the other two were Czech. Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis and his Polish counterpart, Mateusz Morawiecki, traveled to the mine on Friday.
