Do Critics Like ‘Welcome To Marwen’?

Steve Carell is in a new movie: “Welcome to Marwen.”
The film is directed by Robert Zemeckis, who directed “Forrest Gump.”
This is the real-life story of Mark Hogancamp.
He is beaten so terribly by five men outside a bar in 2000 that it left him without most of his memory of the event and everything before then.
They attacked him because he was a cross dresser, making this a hate crime.
Mark suffered severe brain damage after the attack.
He found a sense of solace by tapping into his creative skills to assemble an exquisitely detailed 1/6-scale town called Marwen.
The town is made up of dolls representing himself, friends, and his assailants.
The Wrap said the film was unable to connect it's subject with the film's audience.
