Yuvraj, who has been a shadow of his former self on the field in the recent past, went unsold during the first round of auctions on Tuesday before he was brought back in the accelerated bidding towards the end of a six-hour-long process that saw 60 players, including 20 overseas stars, sold to eight franchises.Mumbai wasted no time in making the first bid for Yuvraj but much to the surprise of many, the first bid turned out to be the only bid for the 2011 World Cup-winning India all-rounder.

आईपीएल 2019 की नीलामी में युवराज सिंह को मुंबई इंडियंस ने 1 करोड़ में खरीद लिया है। युवराज सिंह का जो बेस प्राइस था, उन्हें मुंबई ने उतने में ही खरीदा। नीलामी के लिए उनका नाम दूसरी बार आया, तब जाकर उन पर बोली लगी। पहली बार में उन्हें किसी ने नहीं खरीदा। युवराज सिंह को पिछले साल किंग्स इलेवन पंजाब टीम ने खरीदा था लेकिन आईपीएल 2019 की नीलामी जैसे ही करीब आई तब पंजाब की टीम ने उन्हें रिलीज करने का फैसला ले लिया।
