Goldman Sachs Faces Criminal Charges

CNN Business reports that Malaysia has filed criminal charges against Goldman Sachs. The charges come following Goldman Sachs dealings with scandal-riddled investment fund 1MDB. The US investment bank and two of its former employees are accused of breaking Malaysia's securities laws. The case centers around the $2.7 billion that was allegedly misappropriated from 1MDB bond sales. Prosecutors will seek fines against Goldman Sachs and the accused individuals in excess of $3.3 billion.
