Merriam-Webster's 2018 Word Of The Year Is 'Justice'

The Merriam-Webster’s dictionary has announced its word of the year for 2018 is justice, with its entry readings spiking 74%.

The Merriam-Webster's dictionary has announced its word of the year for 2018 is "justice," with its entry readings spiking 74% compared with 2017.  It notes: "The concept of justice was at the center of many of our national debates in the past year: racial justice, social justice, criminal justice, economic justice. In any conversation about these topics, the question of just what exactly we mean when we use the term justice is relevant, and part of the discussion."
Merriam-Webster's also more specifically lists the investigation being conducted by special counsel Robert Mueller and divisions within the government's executive branch regarding which of its departments is responsible for delivering justice.  Other words noted to have dominated the conversation throughout the year include nationalism, pansexual, feckless, respect, and maverick.
