Michael Walker is a singer and guitarist based in UK. He has been playing on the streets of the UK for over 12 years, beginning with his brother, the late Jonny Walker, in 2006. Growing up in Paraguay he enjoyed listening to classic tunes and the Latin influences.
Believed in the power of music, his passion for music took him to Liverpool University on Performing Arts Degree. This gave him the platform to root his self-taught techniques with professional guidance and input. He played in the Cornerstone Theatre and at venues along the famous “Matthew Street” in Liverpool.
Michael Walker began busking and fell in love with it as a means of performance. Most Friday and Saturday nights he would hit the streets of Liverpool and, together with his brother, play songs for the revellers until the early hours.
Michael Walker keeps busking in many cities across the UK as Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle, Lancaster, St Albans, Beverley and many more.
He still is, a fierce advocate for the rights of street musicians to enjoy freedom of expression in public spaces. He fully supports and endorses Keep Streets Live Campaign *KSL.
Michael Walker played in Sao Paulo during his tour 2018 to promote street music and the rights of performers in public spaces.

"Last Waltz of the Summer" was composed by his brother Jonny Walker. Michael Walker performs "Last Waltz of the Summer" honouring Jonny Walker's legacy. Jonny Walker was a pioneer musician and activist based in England who sadly passed away in March 2018. He visited Sao Paulo in 2017 to tour his work and Michael Walker did the same in October 2018 to promote his brother’s legacy.
