U.S.-based North Korea monitoring website 38 North says... it's still not clear how much of North Korea's nuclear test site at Punggye-ri has been destroyed... prompting speculation that the test site has not been fully abandoned.
Thirty-eight North analyzed satellite pictures from late October and November... and said... the two biggest buildings at the Command Center are still intact... as are various nearby support facilities.
Some 20 personnel were also spotted at one of the facilities, and roads in the area were well maintained.
The website added... that if inspectors visit the site, they should inspect all the key test areas and use drill rigs to check how far back the tunnels have been collapsed.
North Korea blew up parts of the test site in May this year,... and in October invited inspectors to visit and confirm that it had been destroyed irreversibly.
