Marco Reus donates his shoes and jersey for our auction
Patrick Owomoyela: “Now it’s time for charity. Our guests bring along presents that go to the auction. And you brought something too.”
Marco Reus: “I brought my used football shoes.”
Patrick Owomoyela: “Great.”
Marco Reus: “And I brought the Champions League jersey from the match against Atletico Madrid.”
Patrick Owomoyela: “From the home match?”
Marco Reus: “Yes, exactly. As I heard it’s for a good cause, and that’s great.”
Patrick Owomoyela: “Of course! So you can sign it to increase its value … Wait a second, you have to stretch them even more nowadays… Great. I think people will like it a lot. As usual, just follow the link below and click on auction. There you can start bidding for Marco’s shoes and jersey. I think people will give a lot for it.”
Marco Reus: “I hope so!”

BVB visit the childrens’ hospital in Dortmund
The visit to the childrens’ hospital in Dortmund has been a matter close to BVB’s heart for many years now. Our coach and players turned up right on time in the run up to Christmas to make the childrens’ eyes light up with autographs and lots of presents.
Marco Reus: “It means a lot to us. I can’t remember exactly how long we’ve held this event – but it’s been a long time – and even ‘though it’s tough to see the kids are suffering – we’d prefer them all to be well – it’s still a good feeling to come here and help put a smile on their faces, to distribute presents, and just to chat with them – maybe getting them away from their normal day-to-day, something different, so from that perspective, it’s definitely an event that is very important for us.”
