Delta Bans Puppies and Kittens
on All of Its Flights The U.S. airline says all service and support animals under four months are not permitted to fly. Delta adds that all emotional-support animals on flights longer than eight hours are banned as well. The new policies go into effect on December 18. Delta made the change after discovering an 84% increase in incidents involving service and support animals in 2016 and 2017. Incidents include urination, defecating and biting by certain animals while planes are in flight. The airline says its new age requirements align with the
vaccination policy of the CDC. Delta says it will contact customers to adjust reservations if the policy updates impact
upcoming travel plans.
