Departing White House Chief of Staff John Kelly is said to have “kept written notes” about Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump.

Departing White House Chief of Staff John Kelly is said to have "kept written notes" about Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump.  The New York Times reports that Kelly kept track of what President Trump's daughter and son-in-law did and requested.  It also states that Kelly was fairly open about doing so, leaving notes on his desk in a rather conspicuous manner.  With Kelly departing at the end of the year, Trump is reportedly scrambling to find his replacement.  The Washington Post notes that Trump's first choice, Vice President Mike Pence's Chief of Staff, Nick Ayers, announced recently that he will be leaving the administration in the coming weeks.  According to the Post, there are "at least four" other candidates under consideration. They include US Representative Mark Meadows, Trade Representative Robert E. Lighthizer, Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker, and Office of Management and Budget Director Mick Mulvaney.
